Our PPE Event and Holiday Meetup was a Success!

Firstly, thank you to everyone who came out and contributed to an immensely successful event! A huge thank you to Motion Canada and the BC Centre for Women in the Trades for being sponsors of the event. Without the two organizations, the event would never have happened to the scale that it did. There were over 100 people at the Heritage Hall and some great socializing and networking happened. It was great to see so many new and familiar faces.

The event gave tradeswomen and others who may have trouble finding properly fitting PPE a chance to try on a variety of PPE from some amazing vendors.

We’ll be sending out a survey to the attendees to get feedback on the PPE in order to create a list of gear that was truly impactful. Of course, we’ll share this with everyone who was unable to attend the event.

It was great to see so many people attending from various trades schools and organizations including BCIT, UFV, Skilled Trades BC, WorkSafeBC, Tools to Empower, City of Vancouver and many others.

Also, thank you to our other sponsors and organizations that donated door prizes: Spotless Uniform and Linens, IUOE Local 115, BCIT, Hilary Peach, Century Vallen. Special thanks to all the volunteers that spent time organizing the event and coming together the day of to put the work in to make the event a success.

You can order merch until December 20th to help raise money for the BC Tradeswomen Society.
